Bergeron Wins at Oaks at Sherwood

With a strong field of 26 young men, the Arrowhead Junior Golf Overall Boys Division took to the course with a weekend filled with excitement.  Jacob Bergeron of Slidell, LA claimed the Overall Boys Title this past weekend May 18th-19th. On Saturday, Beau Briggs lead all boys into the clubhouse with a one under par round of 71, while Bergeron and Ryan Desormeaux of Broussard, LA sat second only two strokes back.   On Sunday, Bergeron would go on a tear yet again shoot a solid round of even par 72 (73-72, 145) consistent enough to claim the title by two strokes over Briggs (71-76,141) and Davis Field (75-72,147) of St. Francisville, LA.  Rounding out the rest of the top five were Ryan Desormeaux (73-78, 151) of Broussard, LA; Neil Smith (78-74, 152) of Natchitoches, LA; and Carter Toms (75-77, 152) of Shreveport, LA. Arrowhead would also like to thank the wonderful staff at Oaks at Sherwood.

Hughes Claims Junior Boys Title

Trey Hughes of Mandeville, LA claimed the Junior Division this past weekend with a solid two day total of 155.  On Saturday Hughes birdied holes 3,and 11 to lead the Junior Boys Division by a single stroke over Miles Jackson of Biloxi, MS. Sunday was no different as Hughes again dominated by shooting a final round of four over to give him a two day total of 155 (79-76).  Hughes ended the event with a victory of seven strokes over Brandon Rogillio (83-79, 162) of Baton Rouge, LA.  Rounding out the rest of the top five were Cameron Little (82-83, 165) of Baton Rouge, LA; Miles Jackson (80-85, 165) of Biloxi, MS; and Travis Arseneault (89-85, 174) of Baton Rouge, LA.

Baggett Claims Overall Girls Title

Presley Baggett of Diamondhead, MS won the Overall Girls Title at the Oaks at Sherwood Golf Club this weekend May 18th-19th.  Baggett played strong on Saturday by shooting an opening round of 82 to give her the lead over Jessica Varner of Baton Rouge, LA and never looked back. On Sunday, Baggett went on to shoot a final round of 91 to give her a two day total of 173 and the title twenty six strokes over Varner. Arrowhead would like to thank both of these ladies for participating this past weekend.

The Arrowhead Junior Golf Overall Boys Division took to the course with a weekend filled with excitement.  Ryan Crissman of Shreveport, LA claimed the Overall Boys Title this past weekend April 13th-14th . On Saturday, Crissman lead all boys into the clubhouse with a very impressive opening round of even par (72), while Micah Goulas of New Iberia, LA and Ryan Desormeaux of Broussard, LA sat second only three strokes back of Crissman.   On Sunday, Crissman would go on a tear and yet again shoot a 72 (72-72, 144) consistent enough to claim the title by four strokes over Goulas (75-73,148) and Desormeaux (75-73,148).  Rounding out the rest of the top six were Stephen Wall (75-75, 120) of Madisonville, LA; Jeffrey Berry (75-75, 150) of Keithville, LA; and Carter Toms (77-73, 150) of Shreveport, LA. Tompkins Claims Junior Boys Title

John Tompkins of Ruston, LA claimed the Junior Division this past weekend with a solid two day total of 159.  On Saturday Tompkins shot a very solid opening round of 79 but was tied with Cameron Little of Baton Rouge, LA for the Junior Boys Division lead. On Sunday Tompkins managed to shoot a final round of 80 to separate himself from Little by a mere stoke and give him the title with a two day total of 159 .  Rounding out the rest of the top five were Cameron Little (79-81,160) of Baton Rouge, LA; Marshall Laborde (85-76, 161) of Shreveport, LA; Mason Barr (86-90,176) of Keithville, LA; and Jake Jackson (101-95,106) Shreveport, LA.

With a strong field of 76 young men, the Arrowhead Junior Golf Overall Boys Division took to the course with a weekend filled with excitement.  Blake Caldwell of Ponchatoula, LA claimed the Overall Boys Title this past weekend March 22nd-23rd  On Saturday, Caldwell, along with, Stephen Wall of Madisonville, LA, and Nathan Jeansonne of Keithville, LA lead all boys into the clubhouse with a three-under par round of 69. On Sunday, Caldwell would go on a tear and yet again shoot a round of two-under-par 70 (69-70, 139) consistent enough to claim the title by five strokes over Jacob Bergeron of Slidell, LA who finished with a two day total of 144 (70-74).  Rounding out the rest of the top five were Micah Goulas (72-73, 145) of New Iberia, LA; Conner Cavin (72-73, 145) of Baton Rouge, LA; and Philip Barbaree (73-73, 146) of Shreveport, LA. Brown Claims Junior Boys Title

Eric Brown of Lake Charles, LA claimed the Junior Division this past weekend with a solid two day total of 154.  On Saturday Brown blistered the field with a very solid opening round of 77 along with Jackson Wedgeworth of Soso, MS to lead the Junior Boys Division into the clubhouse. Sunday was no different as Brown again dominated by shooting a final round of 77 to give him a two day total of 154 (77-77) and the victory 4 strokes over Wedgeworth. Rounding out the rest of the top five were Marshall Laborde (78-81, 159) of Shreveport, LA; Sean Donovan (80-84, 164) of Mandeville, LA;
and Travis Arseneault (87-80, 167) of Baton Rouge, LA.

Cavin Claims Overall Girls Title

Sydney Cavin of Baton Rouge, LA won the Overall Girls Title at the Santa Maria Golf Club this weekend March 22nd-23rd. Cavin played strong on Saturday by shooting an opening round of 79 to put her into the clubhouse in the second position one stroke back of Mary Frances Chauvin of Hammond, LA and three strokes over Taylor Thompson of Baton Rouge, LA. On Sunday, Cavin would separate herself from the rest of the field when the winds picked up and the temperatures dropped. Cavin shot a final round of 80 on Sunday giving her the victory two strokes over Thompson who finished with a two day total of 161. Rounding out the rest of the field was Chauvin who shoot a two day total of 166.

Philip Barbaree of Shreveport, LA played a consistent round of golf this week to capture the Overall Boys Title at Beaver Creek Golf Club in Zachary, LA.  Opening the tournament on Saturday, Barbaree was sitting in the fourth place four strokes back of leader Davis Field of St. Francisville, LA after Field finished with an opening round of four-under par 68. Barbaree stayed focused on Sunday when the wind picked up and improved his score by three strokes and was able to take over the first position after having birdied holes 3,4,9,11, and 14 to take the victory by two strokes over James Hubicz (71-72,143) of Baton Rouge, LA and Blake Caldwell (70-73,143) of Ponchatoula, LA. Rounding out the rest of the top five were Davis Field (68-77, 145) of St. Francisville, LA; and William Meyers (72-73, 145) of Baton Rouge, LA.

Bennett Claims Junior Boys Title

Brady Bennett of Zachary, LA captured the Junior Boys Title with a two day total of 161 (77-84). Bennett was able to find his stride Saturday but was tied for the lead with Justin Caldwell of Ponchatoula, LA. As the round on Sunday concluded Bennett was able to put the pressure on Caldwell and eventually claim the top spot by shooting a solid round of 84 to give him the victory five strokes over Caldwell. Rounding out the rest of the top five were Cameron Little (84-85,169) of Baton Rouge, LA; Travis Arseneault (89-87, 176) of Baton Rouge, LA; and Mason Barr (85-96, 181) of Keithville, LA.

Johnson Wins Overall Girls Title

Julia Johnson of Baton Rouge, LA claimed the Overall Girls Title at the AJGT Beaver Creek Spring Junior Classic this past weekend at the Beaver Creek Golf Club. Saturday’s action saw Johnson lead the girls division into the clubhouse with a girl’s low of 69. Johnson had a two stroke lead over Emily Ross of Diamondhead, MS and on Sunday the lead would increase by eight stroke after Johnson recorded a final round of 73.  Johnson was able to seal the victory with a two day total of 142 (69-73) giving her the victory ten strokes over Taylor Kennedy (73-79,152) of Baton Rouge, LA. Rounding out the rest of the top five were Emily Ross (71-82,153) of Diamondhead, MS; Haley Harrington (73-83,156) of Jackson, LA; and Taylor Thompson (79-83,162) of Baton Rouge, LA.

Focus helps Barbaree win at Oak Wing

 Philip Barbaree  of Shreveport, LA claimed the Oak Wing Junior Classic this past weekend (February 23rd-24th) at the Oak Wing Golf Club in Alexandria, LA by shooting a two day total of 141 which was one stroke better Stephen Wall of Madisonville, LA. On Saturday, Wall lead the Overall Boys Division into the clubhouse with an impressive opening round of four-under-par 68, two strokes over his nearest competitor Jeffrey Berry of Keithville, LA while Barbaree sat four strokes back tied for 4th.  On Sunday, Barbaree went on a tear to birdie holes 6,7, and 13 on his way to shoot a final round of three-under-par 69 to give him a two day total of 141 and the victory one stroke over Wall.   Rounding out the rest of the top five were Corbin Cantrell of Benton, LA (145, 71-74); Jeffrey Berry of Keithville, LA (145, 70-75); and Ryan Desormeaux of Broussard, LA (149, 72-77). Maxwell Wins Junior Boys Division

Austin Maxwell claimed the Arrowhead Junior Golf Junior Boys Division win this weekend at the Oak Wing Junior Classic in Alexandria, LA. Maxwell concluded Saturday’s action eight strokes over Michael Forte of Monroe, LA after shooting an opening round of 83.  Maxwell kept his cool on Sunday by shooting a very respectable 85 to complete an amazing weekend of golf with a two day total of 168. Maxwell finished the tournament 23 strokes over Forte, who again shot a very solid round of 90. Arrowhead would like to thank both young men for coming out and competing this weekend.

Julia Johnson of Baton Rouge, LA captured the Overall Girls Title this weekend at the Oak Wing Golf Club in Alexandria, LA. Johnson opened the tournament with an opening round of 76 to lead the Overall Girls Division into the clubhouse by one stroke over Sydney Cavin of Baton Rouge, LA. On Sunday, Johnson improved her score by an incredible five strokes after having birdied holes 1, 2, and 4 to give her a two day total of 147 and the victory thirteen strokes over Taylor Kennedy (160,83-77) of Baton Rouge, LA. Rounding out the rest of the top five were Sydney Cavin of Baton Rouge, LA (160,77-83) of Baton Rouge, LA; Taylor Thompson of Baton Rouge, LA (175,88-87); and Mattison McCain of Dry Prong, LA (193,95-98).

With a strong field of 37 young men, the Arrowhead Junior Golf Overall Boys Division took to the course with a weekend filled with excitement.  Davis Field of St. Francisville, LA claimed the Overall Boys Title this past weekend February 16th-17th. On Saturday, Field was tied heading into the clubhouse with an even- par round of 72, with Ryan Desormeaux of Broussard, LA  and Jacob Bergeron of Slidell, LA and Zachary Ginn of Denham Springs sat second only two strokes back.   On Sunday, Field would go on a tear yet again shoot a solid round of 78 (72-78, 150) consistent enough to claim the title by three strokes over Blake Caldwell (79-74,153) of Ponchatoula, LA and four strokes over Bergeron (74-80,154).  Rounding out the rest of the top five were Ryan Desormeaux (72-83, 155) of Broussard, LA and Michael Sotile (75-80, 155) of Baton Rouge, LA. Spence Fraser of Fairhope, AL claimed the Junior Division this past weekend with a solid two day total of 179.  On Saturday Fraser, a very respectable round of 89 to tie Marshall Laborde of Shreveport, LA into the clubhouse. Sunday was no different as Fraser showed his consistency by shooting a final round of 90 to give him a two day total of 179 (89-90) and the Junior Boys victory.  Rounding out the rest of the top five were Cole Baggett (94-87, 181) of Diamondhead, MS; Marshall Laborde (89-97, 186) of Shreveport, LA; Travis Arseneault (99-93, 192) of Baton Rouge, LA; and Trey Hughes (95-98, 193) of Mandeville, LA.

Julia Johnson of Baton Rouge, LA won the Overall Girls Title at the Bluffs Golf Club this weekend February 16th-17th.  Johnson played strong on Saturday by shooting an opening round of 81 and never looked back as she lead the Overall Girls Division by 7 strokes, over Taylor Thompson of Baton Rouge, LA; into the clubhouse. On Sunday, Johnson went on to shoot a final round of 76 to give her a two day total of 157 and the title sixteen strokes over Thompson. Rounding out the rest of the top four were Sydney Cavin (94-81, 175) of Baton Rouge, LA; and Haley Harrington (92-87, 179) of Jackson, LA. Presley Baggett of Diamondhead, MS claimed the Junior Girls title with a two day total of 187 (99-88).

With a strong field of 16 young men, the Arrowhead Junior Golf Overall Boys Division took to the course with a weekend filled with excitement.  Harrison Krause of Destin, FL claimed the Overall Boys Title this past weekend December 15th-16th. On Saturday, Krause lead all boys into the clubhouse with an even- par round of 72, while Blake Caldwell of Ponchatoula, LA and Matt Lorenz of Gulf Shores, AL sat second only four strokes back.   On Sunday, Krause would go on a tear yet again shoot a solid round of 74 (72-74, 146) consistent enough to claim the title by six strokes over  Caldwell (76-76,152) and Lorenz (76-76,152).  Rounding out the rest of the top five were Parker Rutherford (81-74, 155) of Vicksburg, MS; Triston Elston (81-76, 157) of Baton Rouge, LA; and Hunter David (77-80, 157) of Lafayette, LA. Remig Claims First Junior Boys Title

Nolan Remig of Gulf Breeze, FL claimed the Junior Division this past weekend with a solid two day total of 153.  On Saturday Remig birdied holes 6,8, and 10 to lead the Junior Boys Division by 8 strokes over Justin Caldwell of Ponchatoula, LA. Sunday was no different as Remig again dominated by shooting a final round of three over to give him a two day total of 153 (78-75).  Remig ended the event with a
victory of 14 strokes over Caldwell.

Emily Ross of Diamondhead, MS won the Overall Girls Title at the Peninsula Golf Club this weekend December 15th-16th.  Ross played strong on Saturday by shooting an opening round of 85 and never looked back. On Sunday, Ross went on to shoot a final round of 79 to give her a two day total of 164 and the title.

With a strong field of 43 young men, the Arrowhead Junior Golf Overall Boys Division took to the course with a weekend filled with excitement.  Stephen Wall of Madisonville, LA claimed the Overall Boys Title this past weekend November 17th-18th . On Saturday, Michael Sotile of Baton Rouge, LA lead all boys into the clubhouse with a three-under par round of 69, while Wall sat second only three strokes back of Sotile.   On Sunday, Wall would go on a tear and yet again shoot a 72 (72-72, 144) consistent enough to claim the title by two strokes over Sotile who finished with a two day total of 146 (69-77).  Rounding out the rest of the top five were Price Butcher (73-75, 148) of New Orleans, LA; Zachary Ginn (73-79, 152) of Denham Springs, LA; and Cody Maxwell (76-76, 152) of Denham Springs, LA. Damin Strydom of Mandeville, LA claimed the Junior Division this past weekend with a solid two day total of 176.  On Saturday Strydom blistered the field with a very solid opening round of 88 to lead the Junior Boys Division by 7 strokes over Christopher Wilson of Mandeville, LA. Sunday was no different as Strydom again dominated by shooting a final round of 88 to give him a two day total of 176 (88-88) and the victory 18 strokes over Emmett McComiskey (101-93,194) of Covington, LA.  Rounding out the rest of the top five were Nicholas Arcement (103-91, 194) of Thibodaux, LA; Christopher Wilson (95-105, 200) of Mandeville, LA; and J.P. Preston (106-114, 220) of Mandeville, LA.

Emily Ross of Diamondhead, MS won the Overall Girls Title at the Money Hill Golf Club this weekend November 17th-18th.  Ross played strong on Saturday by shooting an opening round of 78 and never looked back.  Going into the round of Sunday, Ross had a 8 stroke lead over Danielle Perez of Lafayette, LA.    Ross would separate herself from the rest of the field on Saturday by keep herself together when the wind was tough.  Ross shot a 79 on Sunday giving her the victory 14 strokes over Sydney Cavin of Baton Rouge, LA.  Rounding out the rest of the field was Perez.  Arrowhead would also like to congratulate Savannah Ennis (86-82,168) on capturing the Junior Girls Title this past weekend.

Patrick Powers of Gulfport, MS captured the Junior Boys Title with a two day total of 167 (84-83). Powers was able to find his stride Saturday but was one stroke behind leader Spence Fraser of Fairhope, AL. As the round on Sunday concluded Powers was able to put the pressure on Fraser and eventually claim the top spot by shooting a solid round of 83 to give him the victory two strokes over Fraser. Rounding out the rest of the top five were Stewart Perilloux (85-92,177) of Zachary, LA; Damin Strydom (91-92, 183) of Mandeville, LA; and Sean Donovan (101-103, 209) of Mandeville, LA.

Focus helps Terrell win at Point Clear

Austin Terrell  of Kosciusko, MS claimed the Kelly Love Showcase Classic this past weekend (October 20th-21st) at the Lakewood Golf Club in Point Clear, AL by shooting an opening round of 75 which was one stroke better James Hubicz of Baton Rouge, LA and Micah Goulas of New Iberia, LA.  On Sunday, Terrell went on to birdie hole four on his way to shoot a final round of 76 to give him a two day total of 151 and the victory five strokes over Hubicz.   Rounding out the rest of the top five were Michael Sotile of Baton Rouge, LA (161, 80-81); Triston Elston of Baton Rouge, LA (162, 78-84); and Micah Goulas of New Iberia, LA (164, 76-88).

Wedgeworth Wins Junior Boys Division

Jackson Wedgeworth claimed the Arrowhead Junior Golf Junior Boys Division win this weekend at the Kelly Love Showcase Classic in Point Clear, AL. Wedgeworth concluded Saturday’s action tied with Spence Fraser of Fairhope, AL after both shot an opening round of 79.  Wedgeworth kept his cool on Sunday by shooting a very respectable 78 to complete an amazing weekend of golf with a two day total of 157. Wedgeworth finished the tournament four strokes over Miller, who again shot a very solid round of 82. Rounding out the rest of the top five were Brandon Chapman of Winnsboro, LA  (172, 84-88); Carlo Carino of Harvey, LA (173, 84-89); and Sam Butler of Fairhope, AL  (176, 84-92).

Ennis Claims Girls Title


Savannah Ennis

Savannah Ennis of Abita Springs, LA captured the Overall Girls Title this weekend at the Lakewood Golf Club in Point Clear, AL. Savannah opened the tournament with an opening round of 86. On Sunday, Ennis improved her score by one stroke after having birdied the 420 yard par five number 11 to give her a two day total of 171 and the victory. Arrowhead would like to thank Savannah for traveling all the way from Abita Springs to join us this weekend.
